I fundraised $12,000 for a 4 month long, highschool semester in Ecuador with an organization called Kroka!

Fundraising

In September of 2010 I decided to fundraise all of $12,000 dollars for a high school semester in Ecuador.  In late August I left for the semester thanks to the incredible support of family, friends and our strong and loving, local community.  The months I spent on the semester were some of the greatest in my life and led me on many life-changing adventures with people whom I shall ever miss and love but I will definitely see again.  Now I have returned with a greater depth of knowledge about myself and the world, I have changed and grown and both the year of fundraising as well as the semester taught me invaluable lessons and developed skills that I will have and use for the rest of my life.

To fundraise the $12,000 for Kroka:
I wrote appeal letters,
organized fundraising events (such as Ecuadorian Dinners and Snowshoe Adventures)
made crafts (mitten holders and cards from my photographs)
worked odd jobs (yard/garden work, house painting, computer work, etc.)
performed piano (at church services, concerts, art openings, an MPBN cocktail party...)
and I self-produced an album of my piano music
not to mention receiving many generous donations throughout the year.

Amount raised each month:
